Get Out (with Soul Survivor)

Dates

The YWAM 'Get Out' two week teams are heading to a bunch of different locations, but all will begin with a training weekend and end with a few days to debrief too! This means no matter where you're heading off to you'll meet loads of other people that will be serving in different teams around the world. All the dates for the teams, no matter where they are going, share the same basic timetable. Simple hey?!


23rd - 25th July: Training weekend at The Oval (YWAM HQ), Harpenden
26th July: Travel day
27th July - 5th August: Head out on missions teams
6th August: Travel day
7th- 8th August: Debrief at The Oval (YWAM HQ), Harpenden

Possible Locations

Please note that there are still a number of locations still to be confirmed but these are the current destinations of teams heading out this summer!

Romania

Name of team leader(s): Dave Nevard, Nicole Purcell
Nature of outreach activities: Sports, working with gypsy children, construction work, working with churches in local villages, helping at a youth mission's festival.
Description of outreach location: Medias, a medieval city set in the heart of Transylvania, Romania, with a warm climate, roughly mid twenties centigrade.
Maximum number of team members: 15
Age: Minimum age is 14
Cost of outreach, training and debrief camps: £360 (flights (approx. £300), injections, personal travel insurance are not included).

Brighton

Name of team leader(s): Andy Sloan
Nature of outreach activities: Beach evangelism, skate parks, night clubs, homeless
Description of outreach location: Brighton is a lively beach town, with lots of tourists and locals out on the beaches and around the town. We will be in walking distance to the town and beach.
Age: Minimum is 14
Maximum number of team members: 40
Cost of outreach, training and debrief camps: £220

Cambridge

Name of team leader(s): Andy Henman
Nature of outreach activities: youth café, kids club, sports in parks, music, drama and dance, service projects in the community. Musicians wanted!!
Description of outreach location: in and around the famous town of Cambridge that is bursting with tourists, language students, and young people, and in local communities around the town.
Age: Youth, teens and families
Maximum number of team members: 40
Cost of outreach, training and debrief camps: £220

Cornwall

Name of team leader(s): Andy Kennedy
Nature of outreach activities: Kids clubs, beach work, practical service, sport in parks, raising the joy level. Description of outreach location: A popular holiday spot with lots of tourists and families on holiday. Walking distance to the beach, and the town.
Age: 10+ (intergenerational outreach - teens, families, youth, children. Under 10's welcome if a parent/ guardian is on team)
Maximum number of team members: 50
Cost of Outreach, training and debrief camps: £300

Central Asia

Name of team leader(s): Kelly Dickey
Nature of outreach activities: Prayer walking, spiritual warfare, encouraging missionaries
Age: Minimum age18+
Maximum number of team members: 5
Cost of outreach, training and debrief camps: £370

Central/Eastern Europe

Name of team leader(s): Helena Kittle
Nature of outreach activities: Working with children and on various service projects, bringing fresh hope and the love of God in very practical and hands on ways.
Age: Minimum age 14, and families (any age) welcome
Maximum number of team members: 20
Cost of outreach: £360 (flights (approx £300) and personal travel insurance not included)

Further Information

1) All costs include the prep and debrief camps, transport to and from airports/train stations on the way to/from the mission trips, and the actual mission trips.

2) Flights, personal travel and medical insurance, visas and inoculations are NOT included.
